Dear friends, congrats! You have got an interim stay against the judgement restricting the double degree holders from getting promotions. Wish you to get a favorable judgement in the final. It is the principle of natural justice that the persons who have done no wrongs should not be punished or affected by an order of the court.
ReplyDeleteThe teachers who have passed dual degrees did not do those courses only on their own wishes.
The dual degree holding teachers had time and chances to complete successfully three years degree courses. But two options were seen before them. One is dual degree course having one year duration for those who have already passed three years degree courses in other disciplines. Another one is degree courses having three years duration. The DEE and DSE Showed positive approach towards the one year dual degrees by allowing Secondary Grade Teachers to get promotions on the basis of their dual degrees. Many of the replies for the queries from DEE, DSE and TRB have accepted the one year dual degree for promotion and appointment. The Single Judge also points out these documents in the judgement. If the DEE and DSE refused them the teachers would not have persuaded the dual degree courses. They would have done three years degree courses. The dual degree holding teachers had also got permissions to study these courses. Since the SGTs having dual degree courses had been getting promotions from years back, subsequently their juniors also attracted towards the dual degree courses. So, naturally, in these circumstances, no wise man having a three years degree in one discipline will run after the three years degree course in another discipline. So, however, on the teachers’ side there is nothing wrong in choosing one year dual degree course instead of three years degree course from the available two valid options since both types of degree holders had got promotions.
The double degree holders have lost their opportunity to do their three years degree course earlier. The lose occurred is not because of their own fault or wrong. Majority of the affected had more than three years time to do their three years degree course. But they chose dual degree course because of authorities’ positive nod to the dual degree by giving promotions to the dual degree holders in earlier occasions. So hope the court may consider their grievance mercifully.

ReplyDeleteThe views expressed by Mr. Selvakumar is absolutely a valid one. If the authorities at the first instance told that the double degree cannot be recognized then no one might have joined in that course. More over the government itself replying on various RTI petitions clarified that the double degree is equal to the 3 year degree. So let us hope the Hon. High Court will deliver the judgement in favour of double degree holders.

ReplyDeleteThe persons who finished dual degree are intelligents ..they too have written all the exams written by 3 years students and got pass.. it is not good to say dual degree is not valid ...many goverment authorized universities offered dual degree..,,"goverment as well as UGC also accepts this course", so the students joined in dual degree..hence the employment and other opportunities should be given both to 3years and dual degree students...hope the final judgement will be in favour of dual degree holders ...[thousands of peoples who finished dual degree will get good results for their hard work]..."MUYARCHI THAN MEI VARUTHA KOOLI THARUM"...."dual degree holders worked hard to get the degree..." pls they should be considered for jobs and seniorty...........THANKS ..
ReplyDeleteHOPE THE JUDGEMENT WILL BE IN FAVOUR OF DAUL DEGREE HOLDERS..

ReplyDeleteDouble degree scheme should be recognised upto a certain period .Hence that scheme should be abolished. The main idea behind this schme is to fetch more money/Income for the university. It is against the principle of natural justice.
ReplyDeleteOne should think that in a degree under part III 8 or 9 papers studied under distance education. The same paper are cleared in double degree which called second bachelor degree. This concept is very very simple according UGC DEC AND TAMILNADU STATE COUNCIL FOR HIGHER EDUCATION. then it is injustice to degrade the double degree holders passed TNTET IN 2012. What our fate in this Tamilnadu
ReplyDeleteANDHRA PRADESH justice showed kindness upon double degree holders
